Galway Polo Comp

Alright guys its that time again.
The Galway Comp is on May 31st and June 1st, ie: the bank holiday weekend.

Building on the success of last year, we've got a bigger comp organised this year, 2 pitches, 3 Divisions, 8teams per division, 2 great nights entertainment, T-shirts for each competitor, for the non polo players coming clifden playspot is working all weekend and only 50mins drive down the road and its working monday too....

As regards accommodation, I've included some links for you, The first lists all the hostels, B&B's, hotels etc in the city and a map showing their locations.

http://www.galway.net/acc/galwaycity/cc.html

The 2nd and 3rd are 2 campsites in Salthill located beside each other (about 2k from the pitches)

Here are the entry forms, if we can get them back by the 16may (6weeks time) it'd be sound so we can have a timetable out well in advance.
Ok think i included everything but if you've any questions post here, pm me or ring Pierce on 086 172 5889 after working hours.

Thanks and hope to see ye all there.

Right forgot to post it up, but if people need to/ want to store boats in the university shed there's no problem for the fri/sat nights, just let me know beforehand so I know who want to keep gear there, and then on the day gimme a shout before ye arrive so I can meet ye there. Shed is about a 5-10min walk along the canal to the pitches or you could paddle (well most of the way)... The shed won't be open all day, before 1st games, and again after all games are finished.

Also can all teams who havent yet sent in an entry or contacted us, please send us a pm and let us know if you are planning on coming before fri 16th so we can get a timetable sorted early for the weekend??

sound

Rob

Hey all,
We got Swink in div 1 and Ulster in div 2 now as well. As for entertainment we were planning on meeting in Bar 903 at the top of Eyre Sq Friday night if people are about. Show be able to find a few free passes for Cuba nightclub for anyone whos up for that. Saturday night the plan is to head out to the Warick Hotel in Salthill where there is also a night club.

Where are people camping

Hi Folks

Just wondering which of the campsites are teams staying on. It would probably make sence if we all stayed on the same one, bit of fun anyway. Was looking at the camping Ireland one €10 pp per night and no need to book in advance.

Hey guys,
entries are closed and here's the timetable, I'm going square eyed looking at it trying to spot mistakes (of which there are non ) but if you do happen to spot anything let me know, sound.

Should have a sheet done up with the plan for the weekend, parking situation etc by the weekend, will stick it up then.
